Estos modelos presentan dos propiedades, propiedad de la superficie y propiedades de la iluminaci\u00f3n. La funcion de los modelos de sombreado es determinar el tono de un punto en la superficie de un objeto, actualmente existen tres modelos de sombreado:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li><strong>Plano (Por pol\u00edgono):<\/strong> Este modelo de sombreado es uno de los m\u00e1s simples ya que solo utiliza un color definido por el mismo para una cara de cada pol\u00edgono. Por tanto termina en un color uniforme en la superficie del pol\u00edgono con una normal por cada cara de un pol\u00edgono.<\/li><li><strong>Gouraud (Por v\u00e9rtice): <\/strong>Este modelo permite que las transiciones de color sean m\u00e1s suaves en objetos redondos, utilizando distintas normales por v\u00e9rtice de cada pol\u00edgono.<\/li><li><strong>Phong (Por fragmento): <\/strong>Debido a que el sombreado de Gouraud no funciona bien para la reflexi\u00f3n especular, este modelo mejora el anterior interpolando la normal de los dos v\u00e9rtices, calculando asi el color por fragmento seg\u00fan la normal interpolada.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00bfQui\u00e9n fue Henri Gouraud?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Inform\u00e1tico Frances nacido en 1944, estudio en la \u00c9cole Centrale Paris, hizo un doctorado en la universidad de Utah en 1971, este mismo a\u00f1o realizo la primera captura de un rostro humano con su representaci\u00f3n geom\u00e9trica aplicando su sombreador a esta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00bfC\u00f3mo funciona?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; El sombreado de Gouraud tambien conocido sombreado de interpolaci\u00f3n de intensidad elimina las discontinuidades de intensidad calculando las normales de superficie en lo v\u00e9rtices de cada pol\u00edgono que compone la malla. En la renderizaci\u00f3n de la superficie de un pol\u00edgono el sombreado de Gouraud realiza los siguientes c\u00e1lculos:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Determinar el vector normal unitario promedio en cada v\u00e9rtice del pol\u00edgono.<\/li><li>Aplicar un modelo de iluminaci\u00f3n en cada v\u00e9rtice para determinar la intensidad de este.<\/li><li>Interpolaci\u00f3n lineal de intensidades de los v\u00e9rtices.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Para calcular el vector normal a partir de  una descripci\u00f3n anal\u00edtica de la superficie, sin embargo si estas normales de v\u00e9rtice no se almacenan con la malla y tampoco se puede determinar a partir de la superficie real es por ello que promediando las normales de superficie de cada cara poligonal que comparte v\u00e9rtice y aproximando este promedio se puede llegar a hallar el vector normal.
